Privacy & website storage
This notice explains what happens to information when you browse our website, price a floor, contact us, book a measure or speak with EmmA.
Information you choose to send
Enquiry and booking forms send the details you enter to Artemis Flooring so we can respond, prepare your flooring enquiry and arrange the requested service. This can include your name, contact details, site address, notes and indicative estimate. A confirmed measure is recorded in our booking system and calendar.
Messages you send to EmmA are processed through our assistant service and its AI providers to produce a reply. Conversation records and usage information are retained in our systems. Please include only information relevant to your flooring enquiry.
Anonymous website counts
We count page views and a small number of website actions to understand which parts of the site are useful. The counter records the page path, referring website hostname, broad device category and limited numeric or yes/no details. It does not store a cookie, visitor identifier, IP address, full referring URL, enquiry text or chat message. These limits describe the counter; forms, chat and technical service logs are separate.
Optional Google Analytics
Google Analytics loads only after you accept analytics. It uses first-party cookies to measure visits and activity on public pages, including our catalogue, Price my floor and enquiry pages. Google receives technical information such as your IP address and browser details and may process it outside Australia. We send public page paths and the referring website origin, without URL queries or fragments, form entries, chat messages, room details or private customer links. Advertising personalisation, Google signals and automatic form tracking are off. Your choice is stored for up to 180 days; analytics cookies expire within the same period. Use Analytics choices in the footer to change your decision. Withdrawing stops future collection, removes our analytics cookies and reloads the page; it does not delete data already received by Google. Our separate anonymous page counter continues regardless of this choice.
How Google uses information from websites that use its services
What your browser remembers
Cookies and browser storage are different ways a website can remember information. Our page counter uses neither. Other website features use session storage or local storage for the purposes below.
- Estimates and booking recovery
- Your room inputs, floor selections and estimate can carry from Price my floor to the booking form. An unfinished booking request may stay in the tab so a retry can recover the same request. A browser copy is not confirmation of a booking.
- Chat continuity
- A chat session identifier, recent messages and the chat panel state are stored for the browser tab so the conversation can continue as you browse.
- Private customer access
- If you use a private customer link or sign in, browser storage can hold access and return-to-page information. Some older booking summaries may also remain on the device. Keep private links to yourself, and sign out when using a shared device.
- Where an enquiry came from
- Campaign labels and advertising click identifiers in a landing-page address, such as utm, gclid or fbclid values, can be held in session storage and included when you submit an enquiry or booking. This helps us understand its source. They are separate from the anonymous page counter.
Services that help the website run
We use service providers for hosting, data storage, sign-in, calendar bookings, address suggestions and AI-assisted replies. Technical requests can include an IP address and device or request information needed to deliver and protect these services. Information may be processed outside Australia, depending on the provider. The site also loads fonts from Google Fonts.
If you follow a WhatsApp link or open an external payment or other service, that provider’s privacy practices also apply.
Your choices and stored records
You can clear or block website storage in your browser settings. Session storage normally lasts for the tab or browser session, although a browser may restore it. Local storage can remain until cleared. Blocking or clearing it may remove an unfinished estimate, chat history or sign-in state and affect recovery features. It does not delete enquiries, bookings or conversations already sent to us.
Privacy questions or requests
Contact us to ask about information we hold, request access or a correction, ask about deletion, or raise a privacy concern. We will consider the request together with any record-keeping obligations. Clearing your browser is separate from these requests.
